Charlie Chaplin: The Great Dictator (1940) Chaplin_great_dictator
Charlie Chaplin, basicly the most humourus man in the world, and possibly a legend of the comedy genre of all times, nobody can relate humour without having Charlie Chaplin as a foundation in the masterpiece, he had made people laugh, he had made people cry, and he actually provide such entertainment, he must've been as famous as he was back then, as he is famous right now.

As you see above, it's probably the most controversal movie ever done by Chaplin, as it was produced DURING the world war 2, as a mockery against Adolf Hitler himself, yes it's the famous movie "The Great Dictator" wich had it's sad moments, funny moments, and possibly the most qouted ending speech in history of all times, wich actually is spoken by the REAL Chaplin, it's his own words in the movie, it's THE only words that matters to him, as wars are useless, and that we shouldn't war amongst ourselves, we're all human beings and deserves to live.

If you haven't seen the movie, you have to see it, it's an amazing cornerstone in history for the sake of comedy, and to reveal a little bit in the past of Chaplins thoughts about the war, it is also rumoured that Hitler himself have seen this movie and enjoyed it...

Where is Chaplin when we need him? I don't like most of the comedians we have today. Most of them are dirty, stupid, and vicious. Chaplin was clean, sharp, and warmhearted.

I agree, this is basicly one of the few things where you can say, i enjoyed back in the old days when comedy is fun Wink

Plus the picture is from the famous scene where he dances with a beachball shaped as the world, and then later blows up at the end of the scene...

Comedy was fun. Charlie Chaplin was someone you could laugh at no matter what age you were. Today, comedians only appeal to specific age groups.

The films, television shows, and animation from the past is typically far superior to anything produced today.

Pirates of the Caribbean was basicly some of the last movies that actually were pretty good

If I was on the writing staff of an animated show, I'd make fun of him right away.
