The ancient Japanese legend states,
That should one fold a thousand cranes,
He shall have one wish that he makes
And true it will be for all his pains.
I wish for happiness in my life,
With far more moral and meaning.
Ev’rything be ridden of strife,
Bullying, war and constant teasing.
With my paper I began to fold,
Full of grace, joy and endless hope
And before my eyes, it behold,
My very first crane from head to toe.
I kept on folding, folding, folding
Through good times, bad times, blood, sweat, tears
And each time I kept on moulding
Those cranes; the birds kept me full of cheers.
Eventually, the day, it had came,
I felt so joyous and happy,
For I’d folded one-thousand cranes.
I never knew I’d be ecstatic.
My forever wish began to ploy,
I was happy now that it can,
For I’d turned from a sad young boy,
Into an intelligent, happy man.
